The 3-19 Tonyrefail Community School opened in September 2018 – welcoming pupils from Tonyrefail Comprehensive and Tonyrefail Primary Schools. It has seen the stunning remodelling of the Victorian Listed building, along with two brand new 21st Century School buildings – one each for the primary and secondary phases.
All school buildings were completed by Spring 2019, and the project also includes the demolition of the former secondary buildings, and the provision of a car park and playing fields.
The fantastic new school is part of a wider £44m Leisure and Education investment locally, which has seen the nearby Tonyrefail Leisure Centre receive a new ‘all-weather’ 3G sports pitch for school and community use – along with specialist teaching facilities for Physical Education classes to be held at the Centre
